Why You Are Reading This

Before you place your first trade on Kudimata Invest, we need you to understand the risks involved. This document explains those risks in plain language. You must read it and acknowledge that you understand it before you can trade.

Current Test Environment Notice

The app is currently running in a test environment with invited testers only. All market data and order fills are simulated. No real trading is taking place. No real money is at risk. This disclosure describes the risks that will apply when the platform moves to production and live trading begins.

Investment Risk

When you invest in equities or ETFs, the value of your investment can go up or down. You may get back less than you put in. There is no guarantee that you will make a profit. You could lose some or all of the money you invest.

Market Risk

The prices of stocks and ETFs on the NGX are affected by many factors, including company performance, economic conditions, political events, and interest rates. Prices can move quickly and without warning. The value of your investment can fall as well as rise.

Liquidity Risk

Some stocks or ETFs may be hard to sell quickly at a fair price. If there are not enough buyers in the market, you may not be able to sell when you want to, or you may have to sell at a lower price than you hoped.

ETF Risk

ETFs track a basket of assets or an index. While ETFs spread risk across many holdings, they are still subject to market risk. The value of an ETF can fall if the overall market or the sector it tracks falls. Some ETFs may carry additional risks depending on what they track.

Order Execution Risk

When the platform moves to production, your orders will be sent to Blue Marina Securities for execution on the NGX. Execution depends on market conditions and availability. Your order may be filled, partially filled, or not filled at all. Market orders are filled at the best available price, which may differ from the price you saw when you placed the order. Orders are limited only to fill if the market reaches your specified price.

Technology Risk

The app depends on technology and third-party providers. If our systems or those of our providers (FiberOps Tech, Flutterwave, LumiID, SendGrid, Cloudflare, Blue Marina, NGX) experience an outage, you may not be able to place orders, fund your wallet, or withdraw money. We have backup systems and recovery plans, but we cannot guarantee the app will always be available.

No Guaranteed Return

We do not guarantee any return on your investments. No one at Kudimata Securities Ltd. or Blue Marina Securities Limited is authorised to promise you a specific return. Be cautious of anyone who makes such promises.

No Personal Advice

The app does not provide personal investment advice. The suitability questionnaire helps us understand your risk tolerance, but it does not recommend specific investments. You are responsible for your own investment decisions. If you need personal advice, please contact a licensed financial adviser.
